Happy Halloween from Hendrix

Trista is my daughter in law,
Her brother’s wife, sister on law-
Gina is a creative photographer.

Together they produced
This look alike to famous
Baby photographs done by
Anne Geddes.

Anne Geddes was born
in Australia in September, 1956.
She created stylized photos
of babies in costumes or
dressed as flowers,
lady bugs
or wood nymphs.

What fun to admire
Anne Geddes cards
books or calendars.

Hopefully, you have
space in your day to
catch this whimsical
photograph of baby
Hendrix wearing his
Owl cap and a cloth
diaper tied using
strategy; with his
pumpkin grown
in his Daddy’s
big garden.

The sky cloudy
When chilly air
Sends shivers
Down spines
Along with
Goosebumps.

Are you ready for all which
Will be coming out for
Halloween, 2015?
Sorcerers,
Witches,
Goblins,
Minions,
Fairies,
Devils,
Elsa.

I tried to
explain to
upset coworker,
“Elsa is like Glynda,
The Good Witch,”
Only frozen.

A Cool Autumn’s Evening ~ All Hallow’s Eve

“Fears”

Don’t look up.
It’s a dark, spooky
Chilly evening.

Filled with shadows,
Pockets of bizarre
Discrepancies.

Fragments
of filmy
Memories;
Waxing
and hazy
Waning.

Why would
they feel
Shivers?

What were
those odd
Sounds?

Where
were
Spiders,
Bats
and
Bloody
Parts
all
coming
from?

Slithering
Under leaves,
Out of woodwork,
Creeps the undead.
From crevices in
Antique walls,
Mirrors hazy
Shadows.

Don’t
look
Down.

Still…

Watch
Your
Step!

Thursday’s Doors ~ October 29, 2015 (Day)

This house has changed
dramatically since I first
saw it behind my apartment
building.

Once was a gray house,
some flaking paint and
white trim.
Brown painted porch
and faded fences.

Elderly man lived here,
several visiting children,
close by dropped in ~
help their loved one.

Pitching in,
Basic repairs,
mowing small yard,
cleaning gutters,
seasonal
repairs.

Winter snow off porch,
sidewalk and driveway.

Tall trees
fallen leaves raked,
piling into paper bags.

Spring flowers planted.
Time passed.

Less time to help
or drop by.

When old man died,
home became a
house up for sale.

Once purchased,
New, younger couple
made wise choice in
making into 2 parts.

Renovations,
New neighbors,
Young owners
expecting. . .

Soon little one added,
turned back into
Home.

Over course of time,
Observed new changes.

Transformation into sunny,
butter cream color,
white picket fence
many seasons
of flowers.

Many
hued
mums
now.

Scary decorations
with spider webs
galore,
new baby,
child #2
on the way.

This post is part of a group of
doors of all shapes and sizes.

Thursday’s Doors ~ October 29, 2015 (Night)

This is a home on Union Street,
the background about the door
and changes it went through
over the nine years I have
watched it, is on the other
Thursday’s Doors post on
this very same date.

The dark created mystical
sparks and streaks in the
spider’s webs the owners
spread around the yard.

I like how you can see
pastel squares they
used to create a
similar look as
stained glass
window panes.

Above the door,

bats and chains- –

make it hard

to spy-

Hard to see

transom window,

Multiple colored.

They have burgundy,
white, yellow and
golden orange mums.
There are many cute
additions you may
spot in the daytime
photograph.

Baby
*
sees us,
studies
us,
&
is
amused
at
the
extent
we will
go
to get
him to smile!

~ ~ 🙂 ~ ~

And now
cannot help
himself,
*
Must laugh!
Together we do.

Sometimes babies are ~
shy,
cute,
funny,
cranky,
adorable,
surprising,
or all of above.

°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°

Always
unpredictably
sponataneous.

Some feel,
all are precious
gifts from above.

Doesn’t Hendrix
look like an
“old soul?”
