  1. The fun thing with babies is seeing how curious and full of wonder they are about everything that goes on around them. It seems like we get to enjoy their delight with the world for a long time, but then, before you know it, they are walking and talking and growing up way too fast. – Mike

    • I have 7 grandbabies but Hendrix seems like there are lights on in his head like he is taking everything in. Maybe since he is the last for a while (Jamie had surgery) I feel he has a lot of thoughts going on inside his head. I could use “captions” and not need paragrahs, but YOU, Marissa would be the humorous caption writer! πŸ™‚

      • I actually love stuff like that! I remember I used to read a rock magazine that would always caption photos of rockers with funny captions. Actually, there’s a whole web site of those, but I can’t remember the URL. I’m sure my husband knows it. Thanks for saying that.
        Yes, Hendrix always looks contemplative!

      • You could add a chapter in your “infamous rock and roll super mom book of poetry with an extra side of humorous captions about babies, rock stars and other silly ones who Marissa could not resist poking fun at!”

    • I like that word describing him, April. He is such a sweet baby most of the time. Girls are very silly since one ended up throwing a doll during this incident and a little “tiff” with pouting followed. πŸ™‚

    • Anneli, don’t encourage me because I really think I would have people thinking I was using my grandbaby. Ha ha to get more readers. Cats, dogs, babies and flowers are very popular! πŸ˜‰ I love your bird and animal posts with the captions included.

      • If I had a grandbaby I’d have a hard time resisting regular postings of them. (But if you think it will get me more followers, maybe I can borrow a baby from somewhere.)

    • Oh, no. The beauty in your environment, the dogs are darling and have individual characters, you find nature with critters having conversations and the Captain is interesting. . . πŸ™‚

    • Thank you, Pauline. β™‘ Hendrix was lying down today, when I stopped by to pick up the M & M girls. I leaned in and whispered to my DIL that I would lock the door behind me. That baby’s head popped up and his feet started kicking the blanket. I skedaddled before I found out the repercussions of my actions. πŸ™‚
Just in case I need to add a pat on head or tickle Siddy’s belly and a scratch behind Orlando’s ears.β™‘β™‘
Yes! You see what I mean? I mentioned on my post where I featured the new gift that I think it would look pretty and show up more on a silk blouse or a thinner sweater.
This was the end of my very tired day so my face looked worn out. Son took photo and sent to me. I cropped it for blog but won’t mind printing it up for his photo album with me in it!

      • I understand about the cropped photos Robin – I cut myself out of photos all the time πŸ™‚ I think I have reached a time of life where I need all the help I can get!! The necklace looks lovely!

    • Your pink hair was great and the length flattering to your face, Pauline. I will be doing something with mine soon but will hope youngest daughter comes up to take it. She is particular whereas my son and oldest daughter don’t remind me to pull shoulders back or not make a triple chin, ha ha! Felicia will!
I was not really needing compliments just was expressing that i hope to capture its delicate beauty better. I do love my new necklace but just thinking it will show up better in different clothing. πŸ™‚

    • Kids don’t just say the “darndest” things, Judy. They do the darndest things. Those sisters are very close and helpful to each other but they get possessive over dolls. I was lucky the only girl with two brothers. πŸ™‚

    • Carol, you are very caring to say do. Grandma’s soak in all the compliments and cannot help smiling. Hope you are starting the new year feeling well and happy, dear friend.

  2. He couldn’t be any cuter! Just adorable! I predict he will have that look of amazement and astonishment on his face many, many times listening to sisters squabble or just be girls! Bless him! πŸ™‚

    • Debra, I think you could be a β˜† fortune teller β˜† with asking a few questions or look at a few pictures. You found your next “career!” I really liked your comments about Hendrix and his sisters. Always nice to have a blessing placed upon my grandbaby.

    • Thanks for the “AW!” His mother loves jungle theme so I got the giraffe for $5 and also, elephant in Kohl’s abd the money goes towards Kohl’s Cares and it says 100%. I recommend the books which last year they went down to $3 apiece. I got the Peanuts books which were 16″ by 14″. “A steal” and one young coworker saw the giraffe and went out and got the others. She said she put them in a big tub with cover to save for future children. Isn’t that sweet? Landen got a sea turtle, Micah a whale and Makyah a puppy. The older 2, Sky and Lara received “chapter” books, Joey.

      • Haha, I know all about that — Moo has the panda and Sassy has the polar bear πŸ˜› We donated the elephant and the giraffe πŸ™‚
It’s very sweet! We’ve been buying those since our big kids were small πŸ™‚
The first ones we got were various critters with words on them. Bubba’s was Honest, Sissy’s Helpful, Sassy’s Cheerful, and Moo’s I forget, because she was just a baby, and we were like, “I guess you have to be ____!” LOL
I saw now the next ones are reptiles πŸ™‚
