The fingers reaching. . .

The Full Worm Moon,

Displays fingers grasping,

The face of the person

Shows concern or fear.

Those fingers reaching

from the right side seem

to add more

“strange magic.”

The musical reference is
intentional, intense and
hypnotic, as the “spell”
of the moon can be.

Photo taken in winter,
yet a different season
is approaching: Spring!

At sundown on this
date, Purim begins.

March 23, 2016.

    • Is it the brightness of the Moon where a darker curtain would help or the “pull” of it disrupting your system, Jill? The hospitals and nursing homes say they have more wild nights during Full Moon nights. There must be “something mysterious” to have similar reports. Hope the spell is broken and you sleep well!

    • I think there are several people who have shared this about being unable to sleep. In nursing homes, nurses and nursing aides say the elderly get a little crazy during full moons. Do you have dark colored curtains, Jill? Is it the “pull” of the Moon rather than the bright light?
It was a pretty orange in Monday morning as it approached the horizon. Did you happen to have almost a harvest moon in the morning, Jill?

      • No dark curtains, Robin. I do have one of those masks to wear over your eyes, but it always slides off. 😦 I did see the pretty moon Monday while I was commuting to work.

      • I watched that new CSI Beyond Borders and liked the team and different scenery. Same man, Gary Sinise from CSI: New York. I have written a long murder mystery and one creepy short story, Diane. The book would need an overhaul since it has a little if the old show “Medium” feel to the woman who is solving a murder in her neighborhood! Lol I can relate to your Criminal Minds comment! 🙂

    • Yes, I think I mention a facial appearance, Anneli. So happy you see a skull. It was windy and the clouds kept shifting. . .
I am on the WordPress “comments section,” since it uses less data. So, cannot read my thoughts on the post at this moment.
I went from my 11 hour work day to watch the grandies dipping eggs into dyes at my son and DIL’s house. I have two cracked hard boiled eggs to make egg salad out of them. 🙂

    • Sorry, I read you may have to find new place to live. Just have had a difficult week, too. I went to work at 6:30 and I went to my son and DIL’s home to watch Easter egg coloring. I apologize for not visiting your blog too often either. Give Toonce a pat or scratch from me. 🙂

    • We talked last month about the full moon, didn’t we? I like how you created some interesting moon names for your fantasy book. 🙂
You know, on Monday early morning, the Moon was setting and was orange and quite hazy, Diana.

  1. Beautiful shot, and lovely words to go with the moon. Simply beautiful, though I wish it was not called a worm moon. I know that is what it is, but why did they ever choose that name? Makes me think of worms and gardens…and slime.
Still, it is a beautiful moon. 🙂

    • I think you and I would hear ELO, as soon as it gets referenced, Lana. I am glad we can share the night sky, never too far away then. . .
Hope to get back and forth blogging, once up at Mom’s. Just in case I don’t: Happy Easter, Lana! 🙂
