Breezeway lit with brilliant sky

Image

Tendency to crop and discard,

nearly caused me to lose

the bright breezeway,

like a window to

another place.

Shadows

from

brilliant

late afternoon sun

give a peek of another

direction to travel off

into behind apartments area.

Photograph taken from

oldest daughter’s

doorstep with

a sense of awe.

Examine carefully

hidden details

found in your

photographs

since you

never know ~

what you may be missing!

    • Your wise photographer’s comment about details “adding important context” helps explain my feelings. Thanks, Dan. I changed the word to lovely, I do this all the time! Why did they put the “o” and “i” together on the tiny keyboard? πŸ˜€

    • You and I both “fall” for the clouds! This was so observant and intuitive of you since the reason I took this was for the sky, then was preparing to crop out the building. If so, the breezeway would have not been left to create a portal or window. Thanks, Cindy!

  1. That was so deep and well penned, Robin… you are quite right, tendency to crop and discard has led us to forget the value of little, trascendent things… I love the ending verses and how you-the protagonist tries to catch the details among the shades in the photograph…
All the best to you. Aquileana πŸ˜€

    • This is high praise from one of my favorite poets, Ian! This really lifted my spirits and so happy you found them to “flow together beautifully.” Ooh, you Aussie writer, you! Hugs to both Ana and you. ❀

  2. Beauty and wonder are in the eyes of the beholder. Your creativity shines through the breezeway inviting the reader to wonder what’s beyond? What possibilities? Lovely photo and post. Happy blogging. πŸ™‚
