July 2, 2016: Discover~ “Wonder!”

Image

Grandson, Micah, approached

the very, very tall man and

told him, his “Nana wants

a picture of the two of us.”

“Certainly, young man!”

The amazing man was

kind and understanding

demonstrating his ability

to brighten a boy’s moment!

Experience wonders, either in

our natural environment or

imaginary situations.

Seek excitement,

explosions of

firecrackers!

***********

Have FUN!

    • Thank you, Merril. Life is full of joy in your world, too! I was happy to hear of your anniversary moments and memorable Fourth of July, 2015, too. ❀ ❀

    • You are so right, Anneli! I had taken a photo of baby Hendrix looking up with a knee of the tall man on stilts but this one is much easier to see both sizes of the 2 people.

    • This was challenging but I have to admit the special celebration didn’t bring as many members of the community so many photos have just my grandies with a variety of activities, Luanne. πŸ™‚

      • What a shame that more people didn’t go! But you did a fantastic job, Robin. How was your 4th? I hope you had a wonderful holiday! We watched the fireworks from our balcony. They weren’t as good as in previous years, but they were still beautiful.

    • We have read 1/2 of your poems, Luanne. We are having fun! So glad you watched from your balcony and too bad not as splendid as past years.
We saw a glorious sunset from Mom’s balcony! We got photos of us being silly in our Fourth of July attire. . . pretty “tame” celebration with black cherry Redd’s ale instead of Mom’s staple of sangria. Delicious ribs, corn on cob and mashed red skin potatoes at my brother and SIL’s new home, artist brother there, too. πŸ™‚

      • Gosh, I somehow missed comments. I’m so sorry I didn’t see this. Oh, wonderful that you saw the sunset. Were you able to take a photo of it? Yum, sounds like you DID have a good time!!!

    • Jennie, such a fun response! Yes, it was a smile-maker moment! πŸ˜€ Thank you for liking the words I added to describe the event.
Hope you have been enjoying your Independence Day weekend! πŸ™‚

    • It sure was a wonderful experience to enjoy! It began with 100th anniversary of our local Strand movie theatre opening, with marble stars of donors in the community and fun activities all week. Thanks, Jay! πŸ™‚

    • Aww, it’s all about the children’s “wonder” which keeps us going in a rather cruel world, Sylvia. Thanks for this fun summary of Micah’s little face as he looked up at the man on stilts! πŸ™‚
