Butterfly #2, position

Pale mint green eyes,

Thin clinging legs,

Orange winged

creature poises

hanging on to

clover while

day holds

its breath.

Being young

and carefree,

song which carries

me back in time is that

of, “Crimson and Clover.”

    • Beth, sweet Kyah and I didn’t scare this little butterfly away. I was not sure I had seen green eyes before, I thought usually black beady ones!
This shows our age, as younger friends may wish to look up on YouTube! 😉

  1. I love this photo with the butterfly slightly off center (and the white petals not quite across from it). Nicely done.
I love the phrase: “breeze-less day holds its breath.”
I remember Crimson and Clover. 🙂

  2. I loved “Crimson and Clover.” I also had a “thing” for “My Green Tamborine,” as well as “The Stroll.” )There I go, revealing my age). There was a radio host that is no longer with us; his name was Ludlow Porch. Once, he had a total three-hour show on “old stores.” His phone lines were tied up during the whole broadcast. I was fortunate enough to have been able to share some of my memories of old stores. It’s like that of old songs; they stay with you. Thanks for the thought.
