Thank you, merci beaucoup!

Muchas gracias and more.

My friend, Danica Piche

has nominated me for

the Liebster Award.

It has been ages

and moons ago,

when I last

received a

Nomination.

There are supposed to be

rules and form to my acceptance.

I am supposed to ask 11 questions

for the nominees to answer

and I may use them to

answer myself. ๐Ÿฆ

~ Tell us your name and where you

live please!

๐Ÿฆ Robin E. O. Cochran

Delaware, Ohio

~ Where do you like to write?

๐Ÿฆ On a sofa or bed lounging.

~ How do you start a blog post?

๐Ÿฆ Honestly, I used to write about

news, music, subjects while now

I see things which I like and

use their image to inspire me.

~ What’s your favorite book or

author of books?

๐Ÿฆ My favorite books are about

Thomas Paine: “To Spit Against

the Wind” and King Arthur:

“The Once and Future King.”

~ Is there a special treat or goal

which motivates you to write?

๐Ÿฆ I usually drink coffee and

nibble or spoon a food item,

donut, cookie, ice cream. . .

~ Is it quiet or music or no specific

noise preferred?

๐Ÿฆ If it is a natural photograph,

then I like music but if it is

Thursday’s Doors or needs

research to complete it;

Silence is golden!

~ Do you like a certain genre or

style of writing (or free form)?

I am used to writing essays

but enjoy freeform best

(ramblings, musings).

~ When did you feel you became

a writer?

๐Ÿฆ I used to take a journal for two

weeks of Girl Scout camping. I

would doodle, try to sketch

and write thoughts down.

I shared this with my Dad

when I got back home.

~ Are you more of an artist, crafter,

photographer, cook or ?

๐Ÿฆ Art and photography are my

favorite forms of creativity.

~ Where was your favorite place

to be in your life?

๐Ÿฆ I think beaches, grew up on

Lake Erie, visited my grandparents

in Clearwater, Florida.

~ Who is/was your hero or heroine?

๐Ÿฆ John Glenn and Eleanor Roosevelt.

Nominate 11 willing participants,

who will answer those questions.

Along with my sharing 11

unknown facts you may

never have heard

about me.

I combined

this component

into my new questions

and used ๐Ÿฆ denoting my

answers to best of my ability.

    • Beth, I am not sure how we found each other “years ago” but am so glad we have! It is wonderful to “see you” carrying out some similar activities in your personal life with grandies and how I loved to teach my students.
Hurray to King Arthur ๐Ÿ›ก (and I mean the old fashioned kind!)

    • I am not sure when we started but I looked back to my “no photos zone of 2014” and I have Jill, Brenda, Luanne, Timi, Jules and you in April as some past award recipients. ๐ŸŒˆ

  1. I enjoyed reading a little more about you Robin. I can see you sitting writing with coffee to hand and something a little sweet on the side……… I love ‘The Once and Future King’ too – it is a great take on the Arthurian legend. xo

    • Pauline, so happy you love this version of King Arthur ๐Ÿ›ก . . .The enchanting part of how Guinevere is attracted to Launcelot due not to his “external” self (which is described as rather unattractive like a toad or frog) but because he is able to help revive a knight who is wounded “got to me!”

  2. Fรฉlicitations to you! I loved reading your answers … I now have this picture of you lying on a sumptuous chaise longue coffee cup daintily poised and nibbling something donutty delicious as you write happy

    • Thank you, Merril. It seems like most of the times I have put things in like I used to be in orchestra and played the clarinet for 8 years, spoken Spanish ever since a wee one, etc so these “facts” were mainly of writing. xo ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Isn’t it the best? I love that Guinevere falls for Launcelot not because of his looks (he appears as a frog-like man with unseemly appearance) but due to his ability to save a man who is injured in a joust!! His chivalrous act brings the Queen’s attentions and later, affection. xo ๐Ÿ’–

    • So glad you liked this! It is a little hard to be original within the parameters of awards posts but this is how I met some of the nicest priest my first few years! You know I still am not sure of your name. Do you mind people using it in responses? Thanks for your kind comment. ๐Ÿ’

      • I really like be referred to by name. It is Yvonne.

I’ve had some folks that have odd blog names and no given name so I almost always give them a name that I sort of make up from their blog name. I you had gone to some of the comments from my followers on my blog you would have seen my name since a lot of them use my name when commenting. Sometimes I include my name at the bottom of a post and several years back I used to also write “photographs by- Yvonne Daniel.”

PS: Thanks for asking my name.

      • Oh, I use reocochran since I loved as a kid to imagine my “nom de plume” including my maiden initials of “REO” which it didn’t hurt that REO Speedwagon was around back then! ๐Ÿ˜€

    • I like to look for new ones since I remember how discouraged I would be to get a few comments! Marissa, I feel we already “know” a lot about each other. We would go thrift store shopping, drink coffee, eat chocolate in almost any form and I would be blessed to hear outstanding stories of the inside of rock and roll including unique talent,Ike your family and those you ran around with your sister! xo ๐Ÿ’

  3. Congratulations, Robin! You are so well deserving if this award! Thank you also for your kind words, they’re very much appreciated.
I enjoyed all of your questions and answers, especially learning more about your writing and what inspires you. I’m looking forward to visiting your new-to-me nominees! ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Danica, I am so happy you liked this and gave me an opportunity to examine my “newer” blogging friends. They each have something unique to offer as well as being followers of my blog. Thank you again for nominating me! ๐ŸŽ† ๐Ÿ’ซ
I have enjoyed our most recent friendly notes and messages. Have a wonderful and special weekend, dear! โค ๐Ÿ’ ๐Ÿฐ

  4. Congratulations, you deserve it.
Thanks, for nominating me I appreciate it, will have a look around and carry on the chain, it is a great way for us to spread our love around WordPress for all the new bloggers arriving every day.
    Have a nice weekend.

    • You deserved this Liebster Award nomination! I like how you have nature, good topics and love your spirit, Elsie! โค I go by “Nana” with my own grandchildren, so you as “Kiwi Nana” caught my eye! ๐Ÿ’

    • Congratulations to you, who are a creative writer and caring person, Elsie! ๐Ÿ’ ๐Ÿ†
I am so happy you like this nomination and thanks for this lovely shout out! ๐ŸŽ†

    • Oh, Luanne! So glad you at least read this! It really was a unique and positive book, showing a sense of chivalry and altruism. This made me smile to think of your son now 32. My youngest will be 32 on December 1st. xo ๐Ÿ’–

  6. Congratulations, Robin. It was a joy to learn more about you and I love how you creatively displayed your answers. I wish I had more time to read blogs but yours is one I try to visit as often as I can. It’s always a feast for the eyes and inspiration for the soul. Blessings on many more deserving awards–the best, the sweetest, the kindest, for sure!

    • I am glad you saw yourself on my list of fellow bloggers who I believe I haven’t “awarded,” Ann! I am congratulating you, for your including many shares on your blog and mentoring young writers (and musicians, too!) Take care and may you have a lovely rest of the week, Ann. ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ†

    • Thank you, Debby! I felt awkward doing questions and answers. I like how those who have good writing have a natural way of getting to the core of good answers, like you!!

      • Oh Robin, you under estimate yourself. You’re a beautiful writer and creator. But thank you for your lovely compliment. โค

  7. Congratulations on the award, Robin. It’s a good one to have and I love the style of your response to it! You’re evidently a very creative person and I’m sure your talents will take you far. (I’m a novice photographer, but I enjoy taking photos, anyway!) It was nice to find out a little more about you, too, especially since we’ve only just become acquainted. ๐Ÿ˜€
