Thursday’s Doors ~ storybook house, part 1

Image

My Mom raised me to love the

larger than life flowers such as

Queen Anne’s Lace, Sunflowers,

and these purple cone flowers.

This house has outdoor bookcase,

which has a door to open, choose

a book and if you have one extra,

leave one to replace the borrowed

book. I like blue houses with

white trim and a nice porch

like this one to sit down on

white wicker furniture upon

a cushion, lean into a pillow

and if curious, look out at

the sidewalk and street.

If reading a book, this

would be a perfect

place to “travel,”

engage in any

number of

adventures!

This post is part of a

larger doors community

known as Thursday Doors.

The host who is the keeper of

links, connection to doors

is Norm Frampton:

Happy doors seeking and

let me know if a special

storybook house is on

your mind, please!

Thursday’s Doors ~ July in the ‘burbs

Image

Approaching this house from the

north, walking on the sidewalk

I give an inaudible “sigh!” and

happy smile to the runner as

she passes! This will be one

of my featured homes

from the suburbs of

Cleveland, Ohio.

Here’s someone

who often shows

an example of

doors which take

my breath away,

Norm Frampton:

Norm will have blue frog links

to other people’s door choices.

Have a lovely rest of your

week.  I hope your

weekend  leads  you

along pretty garden paths.

The house at Gallant Woods

Image

Hopefully, this photograph for

Thursday’s Doors will bring

you peaceful, “easy” feelings.

Referring to the Eagles

song, as well as how a

tranquil setting gives

us a sense of normalcy,

in our tumultuous life.

This was taken on an early

evening in “the golden hour.”

I love how the sun brightens

and reflects while accentuating

details of whatever comes

into its light pathway.

This old farmhouse is

located on the same property

as last week’s door feature.

The red historical barn was

on Gallant Woods Preserve.

Here’s our door’s leader

and rodeo extroadinaire,

Norm Frampton’s link:

If I had room on my walls,

this photograph would

become enlarged and

be displayed on my wall. . .

Let me know if anything is

elicited from your beautiful mind!

Thursday’s Doors ~ December 15, 2016, Side View

Image

This lengthy side room,

with multiple paned windows

capture my rapt attention as I drove

past it to meet my youngest daughter

at the Whitney House for lunch.

Worthington, Ohio is where I

shared a precious, special

antique looking window

of the Worthington Inn

last Christmas holiday.

I hope there will be a choice

below the friends who like

thus post, where you may

be whisked away to a

different time period

since last year I went

“All Out” in my door-

chasing escapades!

Happy viewing of other

Lacy,

Intricate,

Ornate details,

Arches, circles,

Criss crosses, eaves,

Shuttered attic window

Beautiful brickwork, . . .

These are a few of my

favorite things on houses.

This house is on North Liberty Street.

The presentation is thanks to a leader

who will share his own Door’s and links,

Check them out (and also, my full view.)

Thursday’s Doors ~ Old storage shed and tractor

Image

image

Irresistible Doors!

I wanted to get on my knees

and peer inside this shed!

I can imagine crockery, tools

hoes, shovels and maybe. . .

Imagine all the possibilities!

Wooden crates used as storage

for some carefully wrapped old

ornaments accidentally not

put in attic or safer place.

This Thursday’s Doors

was found awhile back

on the west side of

Cleveland, Ohio.

Please check out

Norm Frampton’s

assembly of links

as well as his own

interesting or exciting

doors post today!

It’s in the details

that counts!

Almost the weekend,

so hope you are on the

downhill slope towards

pleasant recreation!
